Zelensky urged the US to tighten sanctions against Russia
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky asked representatives of the White House and us Congress, who came to his inauguration, to continue tightening sanctions against Russia, according to the website of the Ukrainian President.
«The United States is a powerful and very serious partner for Ukraine, primarily in overcoming Russia’s aggression. We will not be able to overcome the Russian aggression in Donbas and Crimea on our own, so we need your help,» Zelinsky said.
The President of Ukraine also thanked us President Donald Trump for his congratulations and expressed hope for a quick meeting. He stressed the importance of further development of the Ukrainian-American partnership, primarily through cooperation in the energy sector and deepening cooperation in the security sphere.
