Moscow, April 27. The countries participating in the “One belt, one road” initiative of the Chinese government intend to jointly resist protectionism. The corresponding statement was made by President Xi Jinping.
In the framework of the first round table of the forum “One belt — one road” XI Jinping stressed that currently, the world economy is going through a difficult period. It is characterized by the strengthening of “factors of uncertainty and instability, accompanied by a lack of growth points and increased downward trends,” the President of China said.
He noted the importance of further assistance in this matter and said that the countries of the “Belt and road” should increase cooperation in the digital economy and support joint projects.
“We must open our markets wider and create the necessary conditions for the smooth flow of goods,” XI Jinping stressed, noting that it is important to “promote the construction of a diversified financial system and develop the capital market.”
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the talks in Beijing touched upon such topics as the settlement of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Venezuela. The Russian leader arrived at the international forum in Beijing on April 25. After a working Breakfast, the Russian President and the Chinese President exchanged gifts.
Recall, April 25 Putin met with the head of the State Council of North Korea Kim Jong-un. The parties discussed the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula and the issues of peacekeeping in North-East Asia.
