Trump saw logic in good relations with Putin
The President of the United States Donald Trump saw the logic in a good relationship with Vladimir Putin. However, some experts expressed concern that the environment of the American leader may try to sabotage the reset process.
President Donald Trump confirmed the information that he plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Osaka.
According to the politician, he sees the logic in good relations between the two States, so in the future, Washington will be able to get along with Moscow. At the same time, Trump claims that none of the previous us presidents behaved so harshly with Russia as he did.
«At the same time, we will be able to get along with Russia… It makes sense,» RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
The invitation has not yet been received
Earlier, assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushkov said that the proposal for a meeting from the White House has not yet been received in the Kremlin.
«No, not yet,» he explained at a meeting with media representatives.
Last time, full-fledged top-level talks were held in Helsinki in the summer of 2018. And in early may, Putin and trump held an hour and a half telephone conversation, during which the parties discussed issues related to Venezuela, North Korea, the report of special Prosecutor Robert Mueller on «Russian interference» in us elections, as well as the possibility of Beijing’s accession to the nuclear agreement.

According to the expert, Trump gave us Secretary of state Mike Pompeo the task to establish a dialogue with the Kremlin, but his entourage decided to sabotage the reboot process.

At the same time, Trump and Putin need to discuss a range of issues that can be divided into three blocks: strategic stability, regional problems and pressing issues of bilateral relations.
«Trump is one of the few politicians in Washington who looks at relations with Russia through the prism of pragmatism of real politics and national interests of the United States,» he added.
