«We are expanding digital trade, we also need to ensure the stability and security of our 5G networks,» trump stressed.
According to him, success in the digital economy is based on unhindered data transfer, «access to capital and innovation» and other factors.
Trump called on the international community to «open, honest and market — based digital economy.» The President also pointed to the world’s efforts to limit «digital trade flows and intellectual property rights violations.»
Recall that on May 15, Trump signed a decree introducing a state of emergency to protect the information and communication infrastructure of the United States from external threats. As a result, the us Department of Commerce on May 17 made the Chinese Corporation Huawei blacklisted due to threats to national security.
Earlier, the US urged the EU not to cooperate with Huawei because of the danger.
