The American leader plans to appoint Vice Admiral Michael Guild to the post of chief of staff of the US Navy.

The President of the United States Donald Trump is planning to appoint to the post of chief of staff of the U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Michael Guild, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing senior sources.

According to the newspaper, Trump will have to choose a Guild, as the previous candidate for the post of Vice Admiral William Morgan refused the post.

Trump July 10 meeting at the White House and almost approved the appointment of the Guild, the newspaper notes.
