The list of suspects in the death of MH17 unveiled by the EU summit
A joint investigation group (SSG) has accused Igor strelkov and three DNR in the delivery of «Buk» from Russia to Donbas in order to shoot down the Malaysian «Boeing-777». Why the SSG copies the belling list and Fred Westerbeke’s report published on the eve of the EU summit?
After a short lull in the case of the crash of a Malaysian Boeing in the sky over the Donbas in 2014 made another serious attempt to bring Russia to justice for the death of the liner. The joint investigation team (GCC), consisting of representatives from Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Malaysia, gave the names of four suspects who allegedly organized the plane crash over Donbas.
List of four
The SSG published the following names: former Defense Minister of the DPR Igor Girkin (Strelkov), former head of DPR intelligence Sergei Dubinsky and his Deputy Oleg Pulatov. In the report, Girkin is presented as the Colonel of FSB, and Dubinsky and Pulatov – officers of GRU. The list also includes one Ukrainian – Leonid Kharchenko, the commander of one of the units of the DPR army.
All four are suspected of organizing deliveries of Buk anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia to the DPR. The Attorney General of the Netherlands and member of the SSG Fred Westerbeck noted that although these persons «do not press the button» but «worked closely to produce a system «Buk» and its delivery to the launch site with the aim to shoot down the plane».With regard to the suspects, the group is going to press charges of murder and issue international arrest warrants. According to Westerbeke, their extradition SSG will not seek, but Russia will be asked to interrogate them. Investigators are also ready to listen to the accused themselves.
Recall, the plane «Boeing-777» Malaysian airlines crashed July 17, 2014, near Donetsk (near the village of Torez), when flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. All 298 passengers were killed. In 2015, the Commission of the Security Council of the Netherlands called Russia the culprit, as the liner was shot down by a surface-to-air missile fired from the BUK missile system. The latter allegedly belonged to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade, located in Kursk.
The DPR and Russia have repeatedly denied their involvement. The militias claim that at that time did not have an air defense system capable of hitting the plane at a 9-kilometer altitude. And the Russian side handed over to the Netherlands, the documents and data of their radar, proving the identity of Buks in Ukraine. The SSG ignores these arguments. Vladimir Putin believes that Moscow has no reason to trust the international investigation, as Russia is not allowed to it.»Copy-paste»
I must say, the suspects voiced by the SSG coincide with a more extended list published earlier by the British Internet publication Bellingcat. According to this publication, three structures are involved in the crash: the DPR defense Ministry, the DPR GRU, bezier’s group and the Vostok battalion – one of the largest militia groups in the Donbas. In addition to the above-mentioned Girkin, Dubinsky, Pulatov, and Kharchenko there are eight names.
Constantinople had a conversation with one of them. This is the former Secretary of the DPR security Council and the founder of the battalion «East» Alexander Khodakovsky.
The fact that I was included in this list suggests that this investigation is sewn with white threads. I can prove my presence there in seconds. Technical capabilities allow you to check my location. The investigation is illiterate, incompetent, it is a falsification and only a political order,
Khodakovsky recalled that at the time of the disaster was in Donetsk.
All the phones that I used — and they are easy to install-are tied to Donetsk. All my phone calls came from Donetsk. That is, neither to the crash nor to the circumstances associated with the crash, I have no relation and do not have,
– added commander.
The report of the international investigation – actually «rewrite» the charges brought by Bellingcat. This British Agency specializing in investigative journalism, according to private correspondence on Wikileaks, is recruited by MI6. Bellingcat has already discredited itself in all the high-profile murders in which the West has taken responsibility on the shoulders of Moscow. In particular, in the chemical attacks in the Syrian Duma and the attempt to eliminate Sergei Skripal in Salisbury. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia noted that Bellingcat doesn’t carry out an investigation, and is engaged in «drain» information from the necessary sources.
In the absence of the participation of Russian experts and the refusal to take into account the information provided by Moscow, the international group continues to publish and announce all-new «facts» that translate the arrows to the DPR and hence to Russia.
At the end of May, it seemed, came a turning point. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad questioned the version that shot down the Boeing «Buk» was Russian. But today everything is back to normal. Malaysia, as a party to the GCC, does not prevent a report from contradicting the statement of its Prime Minister. Apparently, Western intelligence agencies have warned of Kuala Lumpur from the overtures to Moscow. Ignoring the arguments of the Russian side in the investigation of the MH-17 case increasingly convinces of the politicization of the process. The identification of the «role of Russia» will serve as an argument for those who intend to expand sanctions against Moscow and extend them to the «Nord stream – 2». Just tomorrow, June 20, the EU summit will be held, and the meeting of the GCC will be a convenient excuse for the extension of restrictive measures without discussion.
In the long term, the case of MH17 deprives all chances of normalization between Ukraine and Russia, and thus to improve relations with the United States. It is no coincidence that the adviser to us President on national security John Bolton recently made it clear that peace in the Donbas is the key to establishing relations between the US and Russia.
