TERRORISTS ATTACKED AN OIL FIELD IN LIBYA, HAS DIED
According to a source from the country’s Security Service, at least two people were killed and six abducted in a terrorist attack in South-West Libya. According to preliminary information, two people were killed and six people were abducted as a result of terrorist attacks on the Zella oil field, which belongs to the Libyan oil company «Zueitina», — said the source.
The Zella field has been closed for the past few years due to terrorist attacks on Libyan oil fields. However, employees work in shifts to protect the territory from vandalism and theft.
Tensions in the country erupted in early April. Then the air force of the Libyan national army (LNA) led by field Marshal Khalifa Haftar launched an offensive to recapture Tripoli from forces loyal to the government established under the auspices of the UN.
Since the overthrow and assassination of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, Libya has been divided into two parts. The first, controlled by Prime Minister Feyz Sarraj. The second – forces loyal to field Marshal Haftar.
