President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the amount of damage from the supply of contaminated Russian oil will be named after the audit and assessment of the damage of refineries.

«Slackness and looseness on the territory of Russia — thousands of kilometers — and a huge pipe were contaminated with poisonous oil,» Lukashenka said.
According to BelTA, President Lukashenko has expressed confidence that Russia will not challenge the bill for the damage. Earlier, Belneftekhim announced a sharp deterioration in the quality of Russian oil flowing through the Druzhba pipeline. The content of organochlorine compounds here was reported to be ten times higher than the standard limits.
Russia opened a criminal case in connection with the pollution of oil. Four of his defendants have already been arrested. Two wanted.
According to investigators, from August 2018 to April 2019 six suspects, including the General Director of OOO «Neftepervalki» Svetlana Balaba, Deputy Director of «Neftepervalki» Rustam Khusnutdinov, Director General of OOO «PetroNeft Asset» Vladimir Zhogolev, Director of OOO «Magistral» Sergey Balandin had stolen oil worth at least 1 million rubles.
«In March and April 2019, in order to hide the theft of several suspects in the oil drain unit located near the village of Nikolaevka in the Volga region, oil was delivered that does not meet the requirements of GOST, — noted in the RF IC, — with the addition of chlorine-containing compounds in its composition.»
