After five years of living with the rules of the European Association, the Ukrainian authorities have changed their mind to become members of a large European family and make Ukraine Poland or Francium, who rode on the Maidan for the EU, will have to endure a bitter disappointment: Kiev offered the EU to revise the terms of the Association Agreement next year.
In fact, this is a correction of the course for which five years ago, the coup d’etats staged an unconstitutional coup and destroyed the country. And now Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze, who holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, says on a blue eye that the European vector needs clarification. The official explained this by the fact that since the initial consultations “changed the structure of the economy” of the country. Indeed, after the five-year reign of the Maidan authorities, Ukraine cannot compete even with Africa, not to mention the EU countries. For all the time of rapprochement with Europe, Kiev has performed only half of the tasks, which put strict teachers from Brussels.
“In 2020, five years after the introduction of the Association Agreement, there is an opportunity to talk about revision. Of course, we will need to work with colleagues from various ministries to offer our vision of the revision,” said the daughter of the former Minister of transport Yushchenko. In short, the process of curtailing the course to Europe launched…
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Kiev will offer to view based on national interest, as well as how the market and EU law are developing. In fact, this is the recognition that Ukrainian goods are not needed by anyone in Europe, and the desire of Ukraine in the EU Western leaders supported in order to gain access to markets, resources, and cheap labor. To somehow sweeten the pill for horses, Klimpush-Tsintsadze intends to demand tougher sanctions against Russia and the introduction of additional restrictions. According to her, it must be done because of the issuance of Ukrainian citizens of Russian passports in the territories of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics.
Recall that in 2014 was signed an Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union – at the request of the Maidan. It did not enter into force immediately, because it required the approval of all EU Member States. The Netherlands became the country that put the last autograph, but with the condition never to see Ukraine as a member of the European Union. To do this, the document was amended, according to which Ukraine was denied the right to become a candidate for entry into the bosom of the “friendly European family”.
