IN THE NORDIC COUNTRIES STARTED JOINT MILITARY EXERCISES OF THE AIR FORCES OF FINLAND, SWEDEN AND THE SEVEN COUNTRIES OF NATO
Today, May 24, launched aviation exercises Arctic Challenge Exercise — 2019 in Northern Europe, during which military pilots of seven NATO countries, Finland and Sweden are working out actions in the conditions of radio interference and blocking navigation channels. This was reported in a press release of the Swedish Armed forces.
According to published information, the ACE-19 involved 140 aircraft, including refueling aircraft and flying command posts, nine countries: UK, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, USA, Finland, France, Sweden.
In addition to the skills of interaction in the air and the fight against enemy aircraft, during the exercise pilots from different countries will work out refueling in the air and defeat land and sea targets. Also, for the aircraft participating in the exercises, ground threats will be created, which will be provided by the American, German and Norwegian air defense forces located in the North of Sweden.
