The Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita published material on the economic situation of Poland and the 30th anniversary of globalization, in which Poland is the main beneficiary. The material contains the words of the economist Maciej Bukowski, who tried to tell when the poles will become as rich as the Germans.
According to the economist, in the early 90 – is of the last century, the average income of the pole was about a third of the average income of a resident of Germany. At the same time, over 30 years of Poland’s participation in globalization, the average wealth of poles increased to about 60% of the average income of Germans. In the material of the publication “Rzeczpospolita”, we are talking about the level of purchasing power.
Maciej Bukovski noted that the future generation of poles has “every chance” to be as wealthy as the citizens of Germany. However, this “chance” may appear only by 2050.
“At the same time, we will still lag behind the Germans by a dozen percent,” the economist said, adding that the difference in purchasing power between Poland and Germany can disappear only by 2060-2070.
It should be noted that the economist missed a small but important detail. Poland the last decades and did that recruited euro credit. Since this year, the poles have fallen on hard times – loans need to be returned. And if same Germany does not offer any restructuring to Poland, the Polish economy can easily go down the slope.
