FRANCE REBELS AGAINST THE NEW LAW ON CIVIL SERVICE IS EXPECTED TO HAVE MORE THAN A HUNDRED PROTESTS
French trade unions are going to go on strike against the civil service bill on May 9. They call on all civil servants to join the protests. It is reported by the newspaper Le Figaro.
About 100 demonstrations across the country are expected.
The new law will be discussed by the deputies of the National Assembly from May 13.
They promise that the law will make the civil service «more attractive and efficient». However, trade unions are concerned that this could lead to a deterioration in working conditions, quality of services and reductions.
