Belgian newspaper EU Reporter clearly made Europe into a new era – “the era of Putin.” The author of the publication notes that the President of Russia, despite the strong pressure of the West, was able not only to maintain macroeconomic stability in the country and start its modernization. “Like it or not,” sums up the author of the publication, arguing that a new era is already coming.
Western analysts often watered of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the mud, accusing him, think of all that is anomalous in the world. Others warn that it is not necessary to “demonize” the Russian leader.
Now more and more often in the European and American media pay attention to the policy pursued by Putin both in the geopolitical arena and within the country.
Apparently, Europe has already prepared for a new era – the “Putin era”. In particular, the Belgian edition of EU Reporter in its eponymous article argues that the Russian leader, despite all the pressure from the West and the opposition, has managed not only to maintain macroeconomic stability in the country and start its modernization.
“Putin managed to maintain the stability of the ruble, contributing to the overall macroeconomic stability against the backdrop of a sharp drop in other national currencies,” the author notes.
It also draws attention to the results of the elections in Ukraine. The author recalls the slogan of the incumbent President Petro Poroshenko – “I or Putin”.
“Former President Petro Poroshenko seems to have chosen Russia as his personal enemy,” the article says. “It is too early to draw far-reaching conclusions about the result, but it is clear that Poroshenko’s anti-Putin platform has not achieved anything, and this gives food for thought.”
Summarizing the article, the author of the publication frankly says that it is necessary to prepare for the onset of a new era.
“Like it or not, Putin’s era is coming,” the publication notes.
The same final line was repeated in his Twitter by political scientist and publicist Armen Gasparyan. And ironically added that now the editor will wait for punishment for “Putin’s era”.
“The editorial office is declared the enemies of Ukraine and is included in the Feigin list in parallel, “Armen Gasparyan noted, not without sarcasm.
