«ANTI-SYRIAN POLICY OF THE EU TURNS HIM INTO AN ACCOMPLICE OF TERRORISM»
The extension of the European Union’s coercive economic sanctions against Damascus is aimed at preventing efforts to eliminate the remnants of terrorist groups and to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed by the militants. This statement was made by the Chairman of the Czech parliamentary Committee for friendship with Syria Stanislav Grospic in comments to news Agency «SANA».
«The EU through sanctions against Syria shows that it is at the same time with terrorism,» — said Grosbich, noting that the sanctions imposed by Brussels against Syria, for the most part harm Syrian citizens, and at the same time the EU countries, which are deprived of the opportunity to cooperate with the Arab country, which, in turn, establishes a partnership with Russia and China.
The parliamentarian expressed confidence that these sanctions will be lifted sooner or later. He stressed that the Czech people have not changed their attitude to Syria and fully realized the reality of what is happening. Grosbach, urged his country to leave the European Union and seek a better future outside of the EU and its policies.
As previously reported by News Front, the European Union for another year extended sanctions against the Syrian government, companies, as well as the family of the President of the Arab country Bashar al-Assad.
